7 Ways to Show How Much You Love Math This Valentine's Day - follow us on twitter

We’re posting 7 ways in 7 days to profess your love for math this Valentine’s week. If you follow us on twitter, you can see the posts each morning, or you can read them all here. Enjoy.

  1. Read Sarah Hagan’s blog, “Math=Love.” This high school math teacher from Drumright, OK writes about hilarious real-life scenarios from her classroom. We especially enjoy reading, “Things Teenagers Say.”
  2. Read an ode to math by user GoodAnime on PowerPoetry.org. “Love is Greater than Math” is the poem and there is an incredible graph as well – see what the graph of x² + (y – √(|x|)² = 2 looks like.
  3. Matt Morgan on Wired posted a pic of this awesome t-shirt! It’s the perfect thing to wear on Feb. 14th.
  4. Read “Love and Math: The Heart of Hidden Reality” By E. Frankel. Apparently if you don’t love math, you will.
  5. Make a Fibonacci Valentine, shown by Bon Crowder on her blog, “Math Four.”
  6. Have your students practice math using candy hearts with these adorable valentines candy worksheets by Lory Evans.
  7. Happy Valentine’s Day, Geometry fans! Geometry Valentines by Patty Dye.

Enroll your students now! This “How To Enroll New Students” guide shows you how simple it is to start using the online homework system immediately. Make enrolling in your class their first assignment. Then use the preloaded homework assignments to get your students started using digital tools today. The assignments are already built, all you need to do is set the dates.

To learn how to get even more out of Varsity Learning, schedule an online training session.
